The USB blender will blend
Are you that guy in our comments always asking the now wearisome question, "Will it blend?" Yeah? Good, this is for you. The Brando USB blender, $25 and an earful of 70's game show jingles as punishment for your deeds. Oh, and because you're that guy you should heed Brando's warning: do not eat the balls. Good advice for any occasion, really.

That's all good and well, but will it play Doom?
Thomas Ricker @ Oct 29th 2007 7:28AM
Ahhhhhh! You're that other guy! ;-)
Thomas
Alex @ Oct 29th 2007 7:32AM
sorry it was a meatball of a pitch, just had to swing for it.
shamrock593 @ Oct 29th 2007 8:55AM
I for one, welcome our USB blending overlords.
evyatron @ Oct 29th 2007 7:26AM
Now all we need is a big enough blender to blend this one with.
FK @ Oct 29th 2007 7:37AM
"Oh, and because you're that guy you should heed Brando's warning: do not eat the balls. Good advice for any occasion, really."
Ok, best Engadget line ever. Golf clap for Thomas.
Josh @ Oct 29th 2007 3:32PM
*golf clap* that comment made my day.
Macha88 @ Oct 29th 2007 9:45PM
golf balls lol
SteveMB @ Oct 29th 2007 7:57AM
But will it blend? That is the question.
tekdroid @ Oct 29th 2007 8:10AM
at last, a blender for girls.
I never thought it were possible to make a blender so effeminate, but Brando proves me wrong once again ;)
Somewhere now a Blendtec rep is shaking his head: "fake balls..."
iptydafu @ Oct 29th 2007 8:24AM
Oh, Thomas Ricker! -You. Are. A. GOD!
relay3r @ Oct 29th 2007 8:28AM
This is possibly the best Engagdet post I've seen in the last month, well done.
phrozunsun @ Oct 29th 2007 9:45PM
probably due to the lack of apple fanboyism....
Jim @ Oct 29th 2007 9:26AM
Does it blend?
uberfu @ Oct 29th 2007 9:48AM
Well -
The USB connection not being sustainable will give you random fluctuations between crush - puree - liquify - chop - etc...
That's why it doesn't have an array of different buttons for each new blending mode_
Kind of like one of those "automatic" bicycles that change gears on the fly when the bike deems it necessary_
Firewire or ethernet or even bluetooth would be more suitable_
Rynth @ Oct 29th 2007 10:45AM
A bluetooth blender, what the FUCK are you going to do with a bluetooth blender!?!?!
The Pepto Pimp @ Oct 29th 2007 11:39AM
Firewire, ethernet, Bluetooth... those are all great.
Don't forget eSata! That would be a kick ass blender with great speed and bandwidth.
Rami Selim @ Oct 29th 2007 12:19PM
Please explain how you are going to send power to the blender over bluetooth???
If you've figured out how to do that...then let us know. You could be making a fortune.
applefool @ Oct 29th 2007 10:51AM
Hmmmm, thank you. Now, does it Purée?
Pedja @ Oct 29th 2007 10:59AM
Yeah, but it DEAS have an alarm clock!
I mean WTF does not describe my state of mind right now. So, its a Blender AND its an Alarm Clock AND its all via USB...
JUST.CAN'T.UNDERSTAND!
OK, so I guess you set it for 11am, and place stuff in it and then it wakes you up by blending up your favorite eggplant beverage. Mmmmm...cool?
Pedja @ Oct 29th 2007 11:02AM
ups, I guess I need a USB Blender-Spell Check combo...the "DEAS" word above should've been "DOES"!
How DO I do it...?
lassi @ Oct 29th 2007 12:15PM
well it better have something useful.
usb can't provide enough power for an useful blender if you intend to do anything with it other than mix up already liquids...
DC Crowley @ Oct 29th 2007 11:07AM
But will it 'blend into the surroundings'? Nope!
The ZeroCorpse @ Oct 29th 2007 11:21AM
I never pictured Engadget EVER saying the following sentence:
"do not eat the balls"
And now I've been proven wrong again, and left with a terrible picture in my mind.
B @ Oct 29th 2007 1:33PM
at least it didn't leave you with a terrible taste in your mouth
strider_mt2k @ Oct 29th 2007 11:25AM
I would also like to make a comment containing the word blend.
nmason @ Oct 29th 2007 12:23PM
Is it backwards compatible with Atari 2600?
optV @ Oct 29th 2007 1:30PM
We've already heard from the blend guy and the doom guy, the only one who hasn't crashed the party is the "I, for one" overlord guy.
SteveMB @ Oct 29th 2007 4:49PM
I, for one, welcome our ball crushing overlords.
Brian @ Oct 29th 2007 8:57PM
Overlord"s"? One wife is enough, thank you.
Rex @ Oct 29th 2007 1:38PM
No he is already here, check the fourth comment ;)
Jerome @ Oct 29th 2007 1:38PM
that is stupid!
USB is 500mA max! You will bust the current trying to blend your ipod and will need to change fuses in your computer!
oh! They problably added fuse INSIDE de blender! That would be a smart move.
Even there it problably does not blend a lot of stuff.
Rex @ Oct 29th 2007 1:54PM
Well tommy ol' boy, these phrases are the bastions of the comment system, they are here to stay...
Btw, where did these three phrases come from? I guess i know the origin of the "doom" one, it started with putting doom in the ipod and then in every gizmo with a screen, what about the others? Kindly inform us all!
Alex @ Oct 29th 2007 2:42PM
OK, it blends.... but will it frappe?
Deuz Augustine @ Oct 29th 2007 3:11PM
FUCK OFF IT FUCKING BLENDS
micart @ Nov 1st 2007 4:29PM
OK, it FUCKING BLENDS,
but does it FUCKING WELL BLEND?
Macha88 @ Oct 29th 2007 9:43PM

Will the USB Blender Blend? That is the question. Haha.

Deputy Doffoos @ Oct 30th 2007 7:31PM
I was happy and all but after reading your comment suddenly got depressed...........
groznij @ Oct 31st 2007 4:43PM
That's sexist.
