I want a Gamecube player that fits in my back pocket and connects wirelessly to a retinal projection system in my eyeglasses. For sound, the earpieces of my eyeglasses could have small speakers.
Controller would have to be small, too, and split into separate hand-pieces - also wireless.

Because the PS3 case is curved like a barbecue. And someone has made a 360 that doesn't overheat and I own it :D. Wonder how long till someone tries to put a 360 and PS3 into the same shell sharing the blu-ray drive with a switch to select between them.

As far as making the PS3 less ugly, I left it inside the box. Poked holes in the back for cables, ventilation, etc.

Old skool mods should be new technology in old casing eg a Wii in a NES, or a Mac Mini in an Apple II
PSP and SNES9x = Cheaper, less effort, lighter, smaller, sleeker, more battery efficient, higher resolution and brighter SNES games.
And you won't get beat up on the tube..

You obviously do not understand the ammount of skill needed to not only make the wooden case, but to cut a controller in half, re-arrange all the internal coponents so that they fit in a smaller formfactor, AND still function!
So get back to us when you actually make a mod that you think is cool.

It is actually pretty easy to make the controller. I've done it many times with just a soldering iron, some buttons, and an old used controller. I do it on DDR pads.
But yea, the mod is totally cool.

All of mine can. Probably because I never, ever blew on them, because the moisture in your breath collects on the contacts and eventually corrodes them.
Also why all my NES games ALSO still work without many troubles. The loading mechanism, however, is a little finicky in it's old age, the game has to be inserted at exactly the correct depth or it gets garbled. But I know what this depth is by now so it's a non-issue.

Whatever those buttons are underneath the face buttons (start/select, probably?), they seem to be fairly inconveniently placed.

superb, but ergonomics (shape) of wooden case severely lacking long-term playability without pain, IMO.
If the 'wings' were thinned out and made rounded on the edges, we'd have a far more comfortable gaming session.
