nanoDAB: portable DAB meets Bluetooth
This bugger might have been announced a little far in advance, but come this September new nanoDAB users will get a one-two punch of A2DP Bluetooth headset and portable DAB receiver smushed together into one diminutive package. There's also some integration with visual digital radio services and like mobile apps, but being that the nearest to us DAB signal is a few thousand miles away we'll let our foreign readers handle the carrier lobbying.

This looks just like an Apple product. short on looks, short on features.
I still have no idea how any of the ipod shuffles could get hire than 3/5 stars on any review system.

It scores that well because it does exactly what it claims to do. Be unobtrusive, play 200 songs or so and play them randomly for many hours.
It's not trying to do everything, its trying to do just that.
And it does it very well.

Oh, and WHY DOES EVERY COMMENT THREAD ON ENGADGET INEVITABLY TURN INTO AN ARGUMENT ABOUT APPLE?!?!?!?!?

Maybe Someday an iPhone or Ipod may get A2DP.
Flashpoint @ Feb 10th 2008 11:56PM
and why DIDN't the iphone and ipod touch have A2DP?
stupid company.
JohnTitor @ Feb 11th 2008 12:27AM
because people will buy it anyway, and next year when it does have it, they'll buy it again
OneLove @ Feb 11th 2008 12:47PM
because if it did it would cost more and you would be complaining about the high price. (not a fan boy)

huh?
can we get some decent bluetooth 2.0 headphones please?
Neg2LED @ Feb 11th 2008 12:27AM
Devices like this are neat, but the damn thing needs to be a neck-lanyard thing so you can use your own headphones! just either put the mic on an over the ear loop or just have it inside the little device.
People dont want to be stuck with crappy looking permanently attached headphones!
