This is a cool trick, but I don't see it being very practical, since:
If you wanna view on a big screen at home, us an AV dock or watch on computer.
And if you plan on using this portably... well firstoff, Portable slide viewer is an oxymoron...
But still neat.

First of all, nice double post.
Secondly, I agree with riggs, if the screen is too small buy a zune, or somethign from creative or iRiver.
Thirdly, this wouldn't so much qualify as a hack, more as a mod.
maybe a Hackjobs the ugly stepsister of buyer's remorse.

or just an ipod touch, which would probably give you about the same size viewing area as the slide viewer... and more storage.

My sister actually has one of those.
It sucked playing with a pink GBA non-SP. Why couldn't she pick unisex white... or purple. It was the "ITS UNISEX" color purple.

since you would have to encode the video on a computer that should have a larger screen.
you're supposed to kick back and enjoy your stored movie files?
then again holding the nano to one eye doesn't help.

Surely some of you remember the beamscope? From the early 80s? A big lens you parked in front of your tv to make the picture bigger, but only for one viewer, sitting dead center, who might make it through one sitcom before the inevitable massive headache? Yes, this was before Brazil.
