I could understand that maybe the board could hover in the movie, but I never could figure out the steering and braking. I'd say the whole hoverboard concept was flawed as much as the going back into time concept. I suppose "Back to the Present" wouldn't have done well at the box office.
Let me know when the Caped Crusader outfit is for sale. Leaping off rooftops wearing a black cape and matching leotards seems much more manly than using some nerdy hoverboard.

haha force field? it would suck if you could only ride this on magnetic fields at the amusement park. i would want to go around town kicking peoples asses with this thing. the only way for this thing to go forward when you "lean forward" is for the "disks" to be fans made by aliens so they can spin @ 999999999999999999rpm and create enough normal force to lift a 150+lb body off the ground.
