Brando's Solar Mini Clip Fan ruins your shot at picking up friends
Unless you're strolling through Disneyland (or Dollywood, we suppose), we can't imagine anyone not giving you an awkward stare when you approach them with this on. Brando has triumphed once more by offering up the Solar Mini Clip Fan, which does a remarkable job of explaining itself. For those who can't understand what's going on here, it goes like this: clip on the fan, get out in the sun, experience a mild breeze on your brow and enjoy the solitariness. Obliterate your shot at being the life of the party for just a Hamilton.

Guttered if you had a long-ish fringe and it got caught in the fan...then you'd really look like a douche bag!
Tom G @ Jul 26th 2008 10:00AM
You can buy them here in a slightly more stylish package:

Compared to the one above.
ntlam @ Jul 26th 2008 3:56AM
good idea... maybe someone really love this if he/she is brave enough to let the annoying wind blowing straight on face and the rotating blade just in front of ur eyes.
Maybe a solar powered refrigerator as well?
avester @ Jul 26th 2008 4:03AM
I think that this thing makes you a lot of friends when it's over 40 degrees outside. (That's Celsius for you non-standard Americans)
Josh @ Jul 26th 2008 5:43AM
@ avester
If it's ever over 104 Fahrenheit (assuming my math is correct) outside I will need more than this funny looking hat. You'r correct, living in Florida I can say on the right day you can make a lot of friends. I've seen a number of times that the people with those spray bottle fans are all of sudden the people to be around and I can't imagine what this hat-fan will do for your social status!
Samboini @ Jul 26th 2008 4:11AM
At least it will make peados more obvious.

Perhaps they can add this to that game controller that sports a detachable mini-steering wheel.

Frankly, this is a way cool idea. While traipsing around some gargantuan amusement park in Florida my daughter used something like this:
http://www.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/d7/d/AAAAAp2VRK8AAAAAANfUFw.jpg
to keep herself cool - worked great but weighed a ton AND ate batteries.
A little solar-powered fan might just have done the trick.
bartoron @ Jul 26th 2008 7:42AM
Oh man, I haven't seen a Squeeze Breeze is a long time. Back in 2nd grade everyone had one of those out on the playground when it was really hot. Good times, good times.
Steffen Jobbs @ Jul 26th 2008 8:00AM
NERD ALERT! This fan should go quite well with your penny loafers, argyle socks and "Welcome to the Social" T-shirt.
fastharry @ Jul 26th 2008 9:07AM
how about not wearing a hat, so the heat escapes out your coconut, and you don't need another useless POS to clog up your junk drawer
Miguel @ Jul 26th 2008 1:28PM
Because if I were any whiter I'd be albino and the visor is great for shading my face?
And, oh, my eyes so I can see clearly.
I appreciate a good hat.
Charly @ Jul 26th 2008 9:44AM
Stuff like this has been around for at least 20 years or so. I saw other kids wearing this kind of stuff while in primary school!
Looked like this: http://www.sunpower-solar.de/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/3037a99274d7f74e3ed16733f0725690.jpg
Sure, it wasn't a "mini clip fan", but the rest is the same.
Denny Bob @ Jul 26th 2008 9:47AM
I guarantee that if you hand these out to women at the Austin City Limits Music festival in September you will indeed get laid. If they make one 10 times bigger I would buy it. We're talking serious heatstroke out there folks.
idiot @ Jul 26th 2008 11:59AM
dollywood rocks!
Bob @ Jul 26th 2008 2:40PM
Indeed.
NoAndThen @ Jul 26th 2008 12:08PM

Will these contribute to the number of cases of Fan Death in South Korea?
sr1329 @ Jul 26th 2008 2:47PM
Wow Dollywood reference.
kuppendender @ Jul 27th 2008 4:52AM
The place for a solar powered fan is in a tent, not a hat. If they market this as a camping accessory, they'll make a killing.
