I know what you mean, but those are those fools paying monthly fees for MMOs like WoW.
This is different. This is essentially free (excluding the cost of a PS3) and really open to anyone with the system.

Nah. it's not compulsary, you can get a 360, and if it stays working long enough, you can try their half-asses CoverFlow/Mii rip-off thing, but be warned, they will ream you for more cash at every corner.

I picked up a local Hottie while playing GTA IV on my PS3. We teamed up in game and then she asked where i was from. When I told her, she was saying it was real cool to meet someone oline who lives in the same city. Gave her my facebook name and bam, three days later I NAILED HER! So um yeah the PS3 ROCKS, XBUCX SUCX and can get you laid.

Sony actually put up a beta application page for europe a few weeks ago for around a week, it was posted on the eu forums for anyone over the ages of 18 to sign up. It said on the sign up we'd get emailed telling us if we got in or not. So i'm guessing they'll go through all them applicants first email all them.

one correction Thomas, "most active users" is only one of the criteria that sony says they will use...
Other criteria could potentially include race, sex, age, credit history (you can't download from the PS store w/o a valid acct)
We dont know because Sony hasn't said...and in fairness this deserves the same level of speculation that your site gave to apples notorious (later disproved) iphone kill switch..n'est pas?

Step 1: Actually own a PS3
Step 2: Actually care about PS Home
These two steps, Sony believes, will eliminate nearly all candidates, leaving them with a few dozen potential testers.

I used to be interested in Home, once I heard that quote from Tretton about "the disconnect of when Sony took Home out of the creative minds and put it the hands of business minds..." I decided it probably will end up being an excuse for massive advertising and for Sony to make truckloads of money.
Even if I did get in the beta, assuming not much has changed since the Tretton quote, I doubt I would be interested after an hour or so. I'm sure most people would agree.
